A Tapis is a ceremonial item of clothing in this case as a body tube.
In addition to the embroidered bird imagery within 5 bands there are small mirrors embroidered into the fabric throughout the cloth. The ends are seamed together to form a tube for a body cloth. if the sewn joins undone the opened flat size would be 110 x 149 cm
